Haircutting service for the elderly (November to December 2007)

Volunteers provided haircutting service for the elderly residents of Care & Services (North Point), H.K.S.K.H Tsz Wan Shan Day Care Centre for the Elderly, Po Leung Kuk District Elderly Community Centre and Po Leung Kuk Lau Chan Siu Po Neighbourhood Elderly Centre on 17 November and 29 December 2007 respectively.

NWS Volunteer Alliance joined the WE SHARE TO CARE Volunteering Campaign Service Day organized by Agency for Volunteering Service, and paid visits to the elderly living in Kwun Tong.

Mid-Autumn Festival celebration with the elders (22 September 2007)

For the sixth consecutive year, NWS Volunteer Alliance took part in the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations organized by Hong Kong YWCA Ming Yue District Elderly Community Centre. Preparations for the event were undertaken by over 70 volunteers. The elderly were treated to a programme of magic and clown performances and games at the event.

Volunteers provided haircutting service for the elderly residents of Care & Services (North Point), Po Leung Kuk District Elderly Community Centre and H.K.S.K.H Tsz Wan Shan Day Care Centre for the Elderly on 11 August and 22 September 2007 respectively.

Visit elders in Lam Tin and Sai Wan Ho (14 July and 25 August 2007)

Volunteers paid home visits to the elderly people living in Lam Tin and Sai Wan Ho in the Celebrations for All project organized by the Home Affairs Department. New World Volunteer Alliance of NWCL (Guangzhou), sent 10 volunteers to join the visit on 25 August.

Volunteers provided haircutting service for the elderly residents of Care & Services (North Point), Po Leung Kuk District Elderly Community Centre and H.K.S.K.H Tsz Wan Shan Day Care Centre for the Elderly on 14 April, 19 May and 30 June 2007 respectively.

Spring cleaning for the elderly (10 February 2007)

Volunteers of NWS Volunteer Alliance participated in an elderly service organized by YWCA Ming Yue District Elderly Centre on 10 February 2007. Paying a visit to the elderly who live alone in Sai Wan Ho, the volunteers helped them to clean up their homes before Chinese New Year.
