6.3)	Concern for Environment - Major Activities - NWS Green Kindergarten Network

NWS Holdings believes that environmental education starts the earlier the better. In view of this, the Group and Green Power launched NWS Green Kindergarten Network in 2005. Being the first environmental education programme for pre-school children in Hong Kong, the programme provides free teaching materials, training workshops and field trips to local kindergartens and child care centre, aiming at nurturing environmental awareness among the young generation.

Activities of the programme include:

Green workshops in Hong Kong Wetland Park (January 2007)

To equip kindergarten teachers with knowledge of wildlife in Hong Kong, NWS Green Kindergarten Network organized a series of workshops in January 2007 for them to visit Hong Kong Wetland Park. Members of NWS Volunteer Alliance took part as tour guides to provide the teachers with information on the park.
