NWS Holdings currently has five power plants in Guangdong, Sichuan and Macau, with a total installed capacity of approximately 3,742 MW and one coal distributor company in Guangdong operates coal handling pier with capacity of seven million tonnes per year. In FY2008, the power plants sold 15,698 GWh (excluding Guangdong Baolihua New Energy) in response to the surging electricity demand caused by rapid economic growth.
